Currently based in Calabria, Italy, Dia Takacsova (1992) is a Slovak photographer interested in questions of identity, physical and emotional connection to place and human relationship to nature and environment. Dia attended an international photo project in Paris, France documenting the topic urban territories/personal territories, and received a Slovak Press Photo 2016 award. She was a member of the Atelier of the Medium of Photography (lecturers: Mgr. Art. Petra Cepková, ArtD., doc. Mgr. Art. Jozef Sedlák) and the Atelier of Photography (lecturer: Tibor Huszár) during her studies.

2015: LES 400 VUES - a photographic project focused on urban areas and identities of place, Paris (FR)

2016: Slovak Press Photo - 3rd place in the international category for young photographers up to 25 years

2014-2016: MA in Mass Media Studies at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia
2013 - 2014: Journalism and Public Relations at Universitatea Lucian Blaga din Sibiu, Romania (an Erasmus semester)
